mWAVE is hiring an Accounting Manager to join their dynamic team based outside Portland, Maine! mWAVE is a leading global provider of innovative custom and commercial microwave antenna solutions for Commercial, Exploration, Communications, Military and Government customers. Established in 2004, our antennas are recognized worldwide for robust designs and reliability. mWAVE is part of Alaris Holdings Ltd, a publicly traded global technology company with engineering and manufacturing locations in the US, UK, Finland, and South Africa.
Accounting Manager
The Accounting Manager is responsible for mWAVE’s financial planning, financial reporting, accounting, and budget management. This position is a highly visible and hands-on member of the mWAVE management team and will serve as the only financial staff position in the US Market. The position has one direct report. Responsibilities also include in-house HR and coordinating the relationships with outsourced partners for the HR and IT services to mWAVE. The position works closely with the US Managing Director as well as the Group Financial Manager of Alaris Holdings in South Africa.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
• Report the financial status of the company in a timely and accurate manner (annual reports, monthly results, fixed assets, receivables, payables, bank and cashflow
management).
• Utilize mWAVE’s ERP system (Microsoft NAV) and help other team members
• Manage mWAVE’s relationship with outside partners (banking, insurance, HR, payroll, IT, etc.)
• Oversee bi-weekly payroll (utilize external payroll provider)
• Lead the company through the annual financial audit every July
• Participate in mWAVE board meetings
• Ensure timely and accurate tax reporting in conjunction with the outside CPA firm.
• Manage in-house HR duties and work with HQ and external partners on HR items.
• Work closely with the Managing Director
• Manage company insurance policies in partnership with the Managing Director.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance
• 4+ years’ experience in a financial management role
• Proficiency with MS Office, expert level Excel and Word
• Ability to self-manage, take initiative, plan and prioritize, and work independently.
• Possess strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Very detail oriented with the ability to work well under pressure and adhere to
deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• ERP experience is a plus
