Michael Cahill, mWAVE’s Vice President of Sales and Business Development retires

mWAVE Industries of Windham, Maine announces that Michael Cahill, mWAVE’s Vice President of Sales and Business Development retired in August 2019.

Michael Cahill has spent the past 36 years in the microwave antenna industry where he developed the respect of his fellow employees, industry leaders, friends and countless others.

As one of the founders of mWAVE 15-years ago, Mike has been instrumental in the success and growth of the company as he did when he served as the Director of Sales at Gabriel Electronics.

Everyone at mWAVE will miss him greatly but know that in his retirement his humor, dedication to family, friends and past business relationships will be steadfast during this new chapter in his life.

We invite all friends and business associates to reach out to Mike to wish him well in his much deserved retirement.

mWAVE Industries Announces ‘Industry First’ Commercially Available 3-foot – 80 GHz Antenna

mWAVE Industries LLC (mWAVE), an industry leading antenna design and manufacturing company, is pleased to announce the commercialization and production of its high performance 3-ft (0.9-m) diameter 80 GHz point to point antenna, model HRP3-800. mWAVE’s new design is readily compatible with a large number of current 80 GHz OEM direct connect radio ODU designs, and is available with an optional dual polarization capability.

Peter Farnum, CEO of mWAVE commented that “The higher gain of this 3-ft (0.9-m) antenna model, which includes mWAVE’s field proven reliability and superior Azimuth (AZ) and Elevation (EL) fine adjustment feature, will have a significant impact to the market by providing a readily available antenna solution to allow for longer 80 GHz radio links.”

The addition of the HRP3-800 model further expands mWAVE’s comprehensive, industry leading portfolio of millimeter-wave antenna designs and related products for the 60, 80. 94 & 110 GHz frequency bands.

mWAVE Industries acquired by Alaris Holdings Limited

mWAVE Industries, LLC announced that it has been acquired by South African based Alaris Holdings Limited (www.alarisholdings.com) effective October 1, 2018. Alaris Holdings is a global technology holding group that invests in RF related technology companies. It currently has operations and offices in South Africa, Europe, and now the United States. Alaris Holdings is publicly listed on the South African JSE AltX exchange.

mWAVE’s staff, management team and founders will remain with the business and are excited for the next phase of mWAVE’s success and growth as part of the AHG portfolio of companies. The change in ownership only of mWAVE Industries, LLC, and the legal entity remains unchanged.

mWAVE’s OQCL0-04-LC – High Powered CP Wideband Omni Antennas Delivers

mWAVE’s wideband omni antennas feature customizable configurations the most discriminating deployment applications can demand. These UHF FTS High Powered LHCP Wideband Omni Antennas – model number OQCL0-04-LC is designed for the commercial sector and for use in military applications. These antennas are designed and manufactured to support both fixed site and mobile applications.  All models provide hemispherical coverage over a frequency range of 370 MHz to 450 MHz and is capable of handling either 1,000 or 1,500 watts of continuous power (CW).  RF inputs are available with LC female, 7/8 EIA or 7/16 DIN female input connectors.  The connector input is situated at the base of the antenna.  Customizable alternate RF input options are available on request.  Input VSWR is 1.2:1 maximum.  The design of these antennas provides maximum life cycle over a broad temperature range in the most extreme environments including salt, sand, and radial ice. 

Other antenna model versions and frequency bands with various power handling options and polarizations are available on request.
