Antenna Brands

mWave Industries is a member of the Alaris Holdings Group of companies, is a leading global provider of innovative custom and commercial microwave antenna solutions with special focus on 60, 70, 80, 94 & 110 GHz millimeter-wave reflector antennas. Our microwave antenna brands include the industry leading Gabriel, Mark Grid, and mWAVE lines of terrestrial microwave antenna which are recognized worldwide for their robust designs and reliability. Established in 2004, mWAVE designs and manufactures standard and custom microwave antenna products for commercial and government applications spanning the scientific, defense, and academic communities.

In the late summer of 2015 the Gabriel and Mark antenna brands were purchased by mWAVE and moved to mWave’s Windham, Maine facility. With the acquisition of the Gabriel and Mark antenna lines, mWAVE now offers one of the broadest lines of microwave antenna in the industry. Prior to being acquired by mWave, Gabriel and Mark Antenna were manufactured by General Dynamics as part of the General Dynamics SATCOM division.

mWave specializes in parabolic grids, solid parabolic and feeds including conscan and monopulse designs. mWAVE’s additional product offerings consist of micro-strip arrays, panels, horns, helices, sectors, omnidirectional antennas and waveguide arrays. mWAVE maintains a fully equipped antenna test range that is used to verify new antenna designs and for production verification and third party testing for its customers.

Our founders brought with them years of experience in the microwave antenna and component industry from companies offering both standard products and custom engineered solutions. Their backgrounds cover the technical fields of both electrical and mechanical/structural engineering, with extensive knowledge and practice using up to date electromagnetic and structural modeling software.

mWAVE Industries markets its manufactured products to the commercial point-to-point and point-to-multipoint microwave industry sector on an international level. We invite you to explore our line of COTS antenna products. If you don’t find what you’re looking for, please contact us to discuss your specific application. We are experts in antenna development, and can customize an existing product or develop a new product designed to satisfy your specific system requirements. From product specification, through manufacture and test, mWAVE is committed to providing our customers with quality products and services in a friendly and timely manner.

mWAVE Custom

mWAVE is Your Partner in Antenna Technology and our custom engineering department designs and engineers antennas and components to meet both your technical specifications and your production requirements.

Some of our custom product offerings consist of micro-strip arrays, panels, horns, helices, sectors, omnidirectional antennas and waveguide arrays. mWAVE maintains a fully equipped antenna test range that is used to verify new antenna designs and for production verification and third party testing for its customers. Our engineers have extensive experience in frequency bands from 100 MHz to over 110 GHz, and with antenna apertures ranging in size from a single patch to over 15 feet.

With a multitude of operating parameters and physical constraints, antenna selection plays a critical role in a successful wireless solution. In most cases the antennas employed are as unique and diverse as the applications that they support. Generally these types of antennas do not exist as commercial off-the-shelf products and must be developed. The mWAVE experience in many core antenna technologies can be leveraged as a foundation for many practical new designs.

  • Small and large aperture antennas
  • Antenna components
  • Antenna testing
  • Low and medium volume antenna manufacturing
  • Antenna design services
  • Antenna analysis services
  • Third party product improvement services

Let us partner with you to develop a set of specifications that meet your system requirements. We can then deliver prototypes for your trials and continue support through the delivery of production units. Contact us for your next requirement!

Since 1943, Gabriel has been a leader in the development of microwave antennas and accessories for the point to point communications industry. Gabriel was organized primarily to aid the World War II defense effort in cooperation with Radiation Laboratories at MIT, Tufts University, Raytheon and other major firms in the Greater Boston area.

Prior to being acquired by mWave, Gabriel antennas were manufactured by General Dynamics as part of the General Dynamics SATCOM division. In the late summer of 2015 the Gabriel and Mark antenna brands were purchased by mWAVE Industries LLC and moved to mWave’s Windham, Maine facility.

The Gabriel antenna brand consists of an extensive product line of directional standard, high performance and ultra high performance parabolic product lines. Offered in frequency bands ranging from 800-MHz to 40-GHz, these designs are recognized for their scalability and robustness. The severe environment model antennas are the standard for extreme weather survival sites Thousands of these Gabriel parabolic and horn reflector antennas serve millions of channel miles throughout the world in cellular, telephony, utility, pipeline, industrial, broadcast, scientific, government and military applications.

Mark Grid Antenna is a leader in the development of microwave parabolic grid antennas since the 1960’s, Mark Antenna previously of Des Plaines, IL has been instrumental in providing rugged light weight antennas to the broadcast, public safety, utility, carrier and energy markets including both government and military sectors.

Mark introduced the parabolic grid to the commercial wireless sector to alleviate the concerns of tower loading and wind loading on light-duty towers and roof-top installation sites. Availlable in frequency bands ranging from 300-MHz to 2.700 GHz they are available in 3-ft. (0.9m) to 15-ft. (4.6m) diameters with excellent electrical specifications throughout. The innovative antenna designs initially designed for the military quickly became a standard itrm with utilities, energy and public safety sectors. Once these Mark Antenna designs had a strong following the design was soon followed by the ComPak grid design that reduced antenna shipping costs for the four, six and eight foot diameter models. The ComPak grids are shipped in four segments and are field assembled. This antenna design filled a niche that allowed for reduced cost in shipping and ease handeling the antennas to their ultimate installation site by way of helicopter or the confined spaces of elevators for roof-top installation sites. Most recently the grid antenna market has seen the need for smaller short haul grid antennas, Mark introduced the Super Short Haul and the smaller Mini Grid to facilitate the smaller and short range operators.
